New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to distribute the money recovered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in several corruption cases in Bengal to the common people. The Prime Minister said this over the phone to BJP’s Krishnanagar candidate Rajmata Amrita Roy. Legal advice is being sought in this regard, he added.
In Bengal, the BJP has given ticket to ‘Rajmata’ Amrita Roy against Trinamool candidate Mahua Moitra from Krishnanagar constituency. According to BJP sources, Modi called Amrita to encourage her. “Assets worth Rs 3,500 crore have been attached by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with various corruption cases in Bengal. He said that the money will be distributed among the common people. Amrita raised the issue of corruption with the Prime Minister.
