New Delhi: Yoga guru Ramdev on Tuesday filed a detailed affidavit in the Patanjali misleading advertisement case, saying “this mistake will not be repeated”. In an affidavit filed on Wednesday, the Centre said it is up to a person to decide what kind of treatment he receives, whether it is allopathy or AYUSH or Ayurveda. The top court, however, expressed displeasure over the Centre’s statement. Rejecting the affidavits of Ramdev and Balkrishna, the Supreme Court said, “We are not blind.
Last week, the Supreme Court came down heavily on the central government. “We don’t understand why the government is turning a blind eye to them. In its reply, the Centre said states also have the power to take action against advertisements of “divine medicine”. The Centre, however, said it had acted in a timely manner in accordance with the law.
