New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget in the Lok Sabha on July 23. This is the third time that a government has been formed at the Centre under the leadership of Narendra Modi. Nirmala Sitharaman has been given the responsibility of finance minister in Modi’s government this time as well. Sitharaman will present the first full budget on July 23. President Draupadi Murmu has approved the decision of the Union Cabinet. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday announced the schedule for the budget session.
In an ex-handle on Saturday, Rijiju said the first budget session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin from July 22. Both houses will have a session on that day. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget in the Lok Sabha on July 23. Discussions on the budget will continue till August 12. The finance minister had presented the interim budget in February last year. This time he will present the full budget (Union Budget) for the entire year. Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget seven times in a row including this time. As the first Finance Minister, she achieved this rare feat.
