RG Kar Medical College and Hospital case: Supreme Court will hear the case on Tuesday

New Delhi: Supreme Court’s spontaneous action in the murder of a young woman doctor of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra will hear the case. According to sources, the three-judge bench is likely to hear the case next Tuesday.

On Thursday, two Supreme Court lawyers wrote to the Chief Justice requesting him to take spontaneous action in the matter. The letter written by Ujjal Gowda and Rohit Pandey said, “The incident in Calcutta is very sensitive and important. So the Chief Justice should take spontaneous action in the matter. The whole country will move to protest against the R G Kar hospital case. They want justice. You are the guardian of the judicial system of the country. So you need to intervene in this cruel and brutal incident on the doctor.” The letter also mentions the violence in the hospital on August 14 at midnight. It is claimed that there was a deliberate conspiracy to suppress the evidence. The case was registered at 1:30 pm on this day.
