Guwahati:In a significant move to bolster the efficiency of criminal justice services in Assam, Chief Secretary Ravi Kota convened a pivotal meeting to review and endorse the State Action Plan for the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) and the Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) 2.0.The meeting focused on assessing the current progress of both initiatives within the state, highlighting key strategies aimed at improving coordination and streamlining processes in the criminal justice sector. Among the primary topics discussed was the integration of the MedLEaPR application with the CCTNS, which is expected to enhance data accessibility and management for law enforcement agencies. Additionally, plans to connect the CCTNS with the Chief Minister’s Dashboard were outlined, promising real-time insights and oversight into crime tracking efforts.Another notable initiative presented was the implementation of the eSummon module, designed to facilitate the electronic issuance of summons, thereby expediting legal proceedings and minimizing bureaucratic delays.
