Guwahati:In a recent address, Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma declared that the state is poised to compete with industrial powerhouses like Karnataka in drawing new businesses. He outlined the government’s commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment through strategic policy reforms and infrastructure improvements.

Sarma noted that Assam boasts a youthful demographic, with an average population age of 22.7 years, making it the youngest state in India. This demographic advantage reflects a vibrant workforce eager for employment opportunities. “Our young population has high aspirations and is keen to work, which is a positive indicator for investors,” he stated.

To stimulate industrial growth, the government is implementing various initiatives, including the establishment of industrial parks and attractive incentives for investors. Sarma expressed optimism that these efforts will significantly transform Assam’s industrial landscape and create numerous job opportunities for its residents.
