The cultural festivities featured traditional ethnic performances, including the Kamrupia and Kaihati Dhulia, which play a vital role in Durga Puja, especially in Assam’s lower regions. These performances, comprising folk dance, drama, music, and circus acts, are showcased across various districts, including Kamrup, Goalpara, Barpeta, and Nalbari.

He highlighted the Dhulia Dance as an age-old cultural practice, emphasizing its role in conveying social messages through performances that combine elements of circus and drama.

This year, Barpeta and Bajali are hosting over 70 Durga Puja pandals.
