Guwahati: On October 24, former BJP leader Jayanta Bora officially joined the Congress party during a ceremony at Rajiv Bhawan in Tezpur, with MP Gaurav Gogoi present to welcome him. Bora’s entry into Congress comes on the heels of his nomination for the Behali by-election, a move that underscores the party’s strategic planning as the elections approach.
