A BJP worker suffered serious injuries in Samaguri, Assam, following an attack by unidentified assailants, while Congress party offices were vandalized, escalating political tensions in the area.
Guwahati: In a troubling incident in Assam’s Samaguri, a BJP worker was violently attacked by unknown assailants late Saturday night, November 2, leaving him critically injured. The victim, identified as Akbar Ali, was assaulted while returning home on his motorcycle from the Kesakhaiti market. He was promptly taken to Kawaimari Hospital for initial treatment but had to be transferred to Nagaon for more advanced care due to the severity of his injuries.On the same night, tensions escalated as three Congress party offices in the Nagaon district were vandalized. Reports indicate that a large group of over a hundred miscreants arrived in vehicles and executed a coordinated attack on the party offices located in Laokhowa Shanti Bazar, 4 No Bogamukh, and 6 No Bogamukh. The assailants caused significant destruction, demolishing the offices and leaving behind extensive damage.These violent incidents have heightened unrest in the region, prompting action from local law enforcement and administrative officials. An investigation has been initiated into both occurrences as community members express increasing concern over the rise of politically motivated violence in the area.
