Guwahati:Dr. Anindita Patowary, a dedicated doctor at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), passed away on November 9 following a lengthy battle with cancer. At the time of her death, Dr. Patowary, a 32-year-old demonstrator in the Microbiology Department, was undergoing treatment at Health City Hospital in Guwahati, where she had been receiving care for the past ten months.Her passing has left a deep void in both the medical community and her family. Dr. Patowary is survived by her husband, Bhargav Kalita, and their one-year-old son. Tragically, her death occurred on the same day as her child’s first birthday, adding to the heartache of the loss.Dr. Patowary was widely admired not only for her exceptional academic skills but also for her diverse talents. A gifted musician and a passionate practitioner of Sattriya dance, she was a well-rounded and cherished individual, beloved by colleagues and friends alike.
