New Delhi: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has strongly rebuked the Congress Party for allegedly distorting the speech of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Rijiju accused Congress of deliberately misinterpreting parts of Shah’s address to mislead the public. In a statement, Rijiju clarified that throughout his speech, Amit Shah had paid tribute to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, emphasizing the government’s ongoing commitment to honoring his legacy. He pointed out that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been dedicated to advancing Ambedkar’s principles and recognizing his invaluable contributions.
Rijiju also called on Congress to refrain from invoking Dr. Ambedkar’s name in political debates, arguing that the party lacked the moral authority to do so. He suggested that Congress should focus on their own actions rather than misusing the legacy of a national icon for political gains.
