IAS Vijay Bhushan Pathak–Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Development Commissioner, Planning and Development department with additional charge of Finance department took charge as the new Chief Secretary (CS) of Sikkim today.
Pathak was appointed as the new Chief Secretary (CS) of Sikkim on Wednesday by the state government.
Vijay Bhushan Pathak replaced SC Gupta, IAS who retired from service on August 31.
According to an official notice, he will continue to be in charge of the Finance Department while relinquishing the position of Development Commissioner, Planning and Development Department.
In the meantime, Arun Kumar Yadav, IAS – Additional Chief Secretary, Labour Department, is appointed as Chief Administrative Advisor to the Government of Sikkim in the rank and pay of Chief Secretary.
Gyan Prakash Upadhyaya, IAS- Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism & Civil Aviation Department, Commerce & Industries Department, is hereby appointed Cabinet Secretary, Government of Sikkim.
