Two criminals were caught by the locals and handed them over to police with arms in Assam’s Nalbari district on Sunday.
According to sources, two criminals allegedly attempted to rob a businessman in the Mukalmua market, while the locals caught them with arms.
As per officials, both the accused have been arrested, and also recovered one country-made pistol with magazine and a sharp weapon from their possession.
The official further added that one among them was earlier arrested by Karnataka police in robbery case.
A case has been filed in connection with the incident, and further investigations are underway.
