The People’s Daily Health, the communist party’s mouthpiece, said that the navamipati will now get a post-wedding leave with a salary of 30 days instead of a normal wedding leave with three days’ salary. This arrangement has been made to encourage couples to have children after marriage. The newly couple will be given 30 days leave after marriage in Gansu and Shaanxi provinces while they will get 10 days in Shanghai and three days in Sichuan.
