New Delhi: Country’s first marina to be built in Karnataka to promote coastal tourism Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bomma has confirmed the construction of the country’s first marina. The marina will be built at Bindur in Udupi district. The project has been launched to promote coastal tourism in Karnataka.

Speaking at the ‘Seven Wonders of Karnataka’ event organised under the tourism department recently, Chief Minister Bomma said the history of great dynasties like Ganga, Kadamba, Rashtrakuta, Chalukya and Hoysala will be preserved by the Department of Archaeology and the development of historical tourism. The Chief Minister said that this will not only help the people to develop tourism but also understand the rich history of Karnataka. He said “To promote coastal tourism in Karnataka, the country’s first Marina will be built at Bindur in Udupi district.
