Guwahati: In Bongaigaon today, the anxiety created by the young generation about the concert of the heartthrob Zubin Garg has finally come to an end. There were doubts about whether Jubin Garg, who was angry with the Koch Rajbongshi Students Union for his remarks against the formation of Kamtapur, will be able to sing in Bongaigaon today. Jibin Garg was banned by the Koch Rajbanshi Students’ Union in the proposed Kamatapur area for his protest against Kamatapur. But according to recent reports Akrasu has lifted the ban on Zubin Garg’s concerts under two conditions. As a result, it was confirmed that Zubin would perform a cultural programme in Bongaigaon. According to the latest reports, a special meeting was held today between the DC of Bongaigaon, Bihu Managing Committee, Gokul Barman of KAC and all the groups of Akrasu . At that meeting, Akrasu laid down two conditions for Zubin Garg. It is learnt that a proposal to lift the ban on Zubin Garg’s concert was adopted at the meeting.

Akrasu is also learnt to have imposed two conditions in the meeting ahead of the event. The two conditions set by Akrasu are that Zubin will have to withdraw his earlier remarks on the Bihu stage. Along with this, the Bihu Managing Committee will also have to felicitate Zubin with the Koch Rajbanshi National Gamosa. Meanwhile, Akrasu is still adamant on demanding an apology from Zubin for his comments, a source said. It may be recalled that Zubin had opposed Kamatarpur saying assam should not be divided anymore.
