Corona has killed 42 people in the country in a day

New Delhi: As time goes on, the coronavirus outbreak is raising fresh concerns across the country. Along with Maharashtra, Delhi and Kerala, Covid-19 is also catching the eye in Bengal. Active cases are also on the rise.

According to the report given by the Health Ministry on Saturday, 12,193 people have been infected with corona virus in the country in the last 24 hours. Of these, 199 people have been infected in Bengal. The positivity rate has also raised concerns. According to the Health Ministry, the weekly infection rate in 158 districts of the country is 10 percent or more. This includes five districts of the state, including Kolkata.
Seven districts of Bengal are among the 120 districts where the weekly positivity rate is 5 per cent or more. While a month ago, there were 11 corona-free districts in the state, which has come down to three in the April 12-19 report. Active cases are also increasing in the country. At present, the number of active patients has increased to 67,556.
According to experts, the new strain of Omicron is the reason for the new infection. However, hospitalization rates are still relatively low. But in the meantime, corona is taking lives. In the last 24 hours, 42 people have died of the deadly virus. Three of them died in Kolkata. 10 people have died in Kerala. So far 5 lakh 31 thousand 300 people have died in Corona in the country.
