Nilachal Express avoids major accident in Lucknow as railway tracks derail due to scorching heat

New Delhi:The railway line was bent in the scorching heat. The Nilachal Express from Puri to Anand Vihar in Delhi avoided a major accident while passing along the line. After leaving Rae Bareli Junction on Saturday afternoon, the train reached Nigoha station around 5 pm.

This station is five stations after Rae Bareli. The train doesn’t stop here. The Nilachal Express was signalled to pass through the loop line as a train was standing on the main line. The train was passing through the loop line near Nigoha station when the driver felt a loud jolt. He immediately stopped the train. He then informed the control room and the railway engineer department. The driver then reached Lucknow station and lodged a complaint. He also informed top railway officials about the incident.
