Patient dies after oxygen mask catches fire at Rajasthan government hospital

New Delhi: A patient died after an oxygen mask caught fire in the ICU of a government hospital in Rajasthan. A 23-year-old man was undergoing treatment at a government hospital in Kota. He was kept in the ICU. It was there that the oxygen mask caught fire and the youth allegedly died. The incident came to light on Friday.


The deceased, Vaibhav Sharma, is a resident of Anantapura Talwar in Kota. His family has alleged that the youth died due to negligence on the part of doctors and staff at The New Medical College Hospital. The young man died on Wednesday night.

The family claimed that the youth had oxygen masks on his face.
