New Delhi: The use of mobile phones has been banned in the Kedarnath temple. No pictures or videos can be taken at the temple, officials said. Recently, a woman blogger proposed love to her boyfriend in front of Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand. That led to controversy. The temple authorities then took the step.
The Sri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has put up several boards in the temple premises. It has guidelines in Hindi and Bengali. “No one can enter the temple premises with mobile phones. No pictures or videos can be taken. You are under the surveillance of a CC camera. ’’
