Chandrayaan-3 enters third orbit, another step on moon’s path

New Delhi: It was exactly what it was supposed to be. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chandrayaan-3 is scheduled to change its orbit between 2 pm and 3 pm on Tuesday. Accordingly, Chandrayaan-3 entered the third orbit. ISRO announced the news on Tuesday. After this, Chandrayaan-3 will change the orbit again between 2 pm and 3 pm Indian time on July 20.


Isro had successfully completed the process of changing the orbit on Monday as well. This chandrayaan is moving freely in space. Chandrayaan-3 will change its orbit twice more to move towards the moon beyond the limits of earth’s gravitational force. After that, there will be no obstacle to moving towards the moon, about 400,000 km from Earth.
