New Delhi: The PCB has invited BCCI secretary Jay Shah to watch the opening match of the Asia Cup. According to sources, Jay Shah was verbally invited by the Pakistan Board earlier. Now the invitation has been sent in writing.
The Asia Cup will begin on August 30 with the match between Pakistan and Nepal in Multan. “It’s not just Jay Shah. The heads of all the other boards in Asia have been invited to watch the opening match of the Asia Cup. Pakistan Board chief Zaka Ashraf had verbally invited Jay Shah during the ICC meeting. Now the invitation letter has been sent officially. However, the PCB does not expect Jay Shah to go to Pakistan and attend the opening ceremony.
