Late Sikh-Hungarian artist Amrita Shergill’s art ‘The Story Teller’ recently sold at this record price. The 1937 painting was auctioned on the world stage. And with that, its price rose to about Rs 62 crore. This well painting has broken the old record of the country. Earlier this month, Syed Haider Raja’s ‘JStation’ painting was sold for Rs 51.70 crore. Less than 10 days later, a new record was set on Saturday. The ‘The Story Teller’ painting has gone up to Rs 61.80 crore.
