New Delhi: Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a ‘temple run’. Sometimes claiming to be a paitedhari, sometimes a manas sarovar yatra, the Congress leader desperately tried to prove himself to be a ‘Hindu’. It didn’t work. The BJP defeated the Congress with hindutva weapons. Even before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul’s ‘Hindutva’ is remembered again.
On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, the Congress leader made a long post on ‘Hindutva’. He tried to explain that Hindutva does not just mean immortality. Don’t just think about your religion or yourself. A Hindu can think of everyone. A Hindu can overcome fear. A Hindu can believe in himself even if he is swept away by an ocean of pain and suffering.
