Popular singer of Assam Dr. Sangeeta Kakati has got the opportunity to perform ‘Theme Song’ at the Malaysia International Kho-Kho Competition in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Malaysia Kho-Kho Federation President Sathasivam Munisamy and Secretary Purushthomon Palani formally proposed to the eminent singer of Assam and said that the song will also be the ‘theme song’ of the Federation. It may be recalled that a series of kho-khos between India and Malaysia was held in Kuala Lumpur last month. Sangeeta Kakati was also invited to Malaysia on the visit along with the Indian delegates. The reason for this was the fourth Asian Kho Kho to be held in Assam. In the championship, singer Kakati produced and performed a theme song consisting of a total of 16 languages. The song consisted of hindi, english, assamese and bodo languages along with their respective mother tongues of the 12 foreign countries participating in the competition. Men’s and women’s teams from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, South Korea and Sri Lanka participated in the tournament as foreign nations along with India.
