Assamese artist Sangeeta Kakati to perform Malaysia’s international Kho-Kho theme song

Guwahati: Good news for Assam as well as indian sports and cultural world. Popular singer of Assam Dr. Sangeeta Kakati has got the opportunity to perform ‘Theme Song’ at the Malaysia International Kho-Kho Competition in Malaysia. Meanwhile, Malaysia Kho-Kho Federation President Sathasivam Munisamy and Secretary Purushthomon Palani formally proposed to the eminent singer of Assam and said that the song will also be the ‘theme song’ of the Federation. It may be recalled that a series of kho-khos between India and Malaysia was held in Kuala Lumpur last month. Sangeeta Kakati was also invited to Malaysia on the visit along with the Indian delegates. The reason for this was the fourth Asian Kho Kho to be held in Assam. In the championship, singer Kakati produced and performed a theme song consisting of a total of 16 languages. The song consisted of hindi, english, assamese and bodo languages along with their respective mother tongues of the 12 foreign countries participating in the competition. The lyrics of the song are by Sangeeta Kakati. Anushka Barua supported her. On the other hand, music and mixing is of mausam Bora. Men’s and women’s teams from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, South Korea and Sri Lanka participated in the tournament as foreign nations along with India. Since then, Sangeeta Kakati’s 16-language theme song has been widely circulated on social media in all countries where Kho Kho played.


The Kho Kho Federation of the country has also invited singer Kakati along with the Indian team to perform the song in Malaysia. But Kakati did not just perform that song in Malaysia. He also produced a Malaysian ‘Male’ language song in Guwahati and performed at the closing ceremony of Kuala Lumpur. The lyrics of the song, sung in Hindi and English, are also sung by Sangeeta Kakati. On the other hand, the music and mixing is of the mausam bora. Malaysia’s Sports Minister Hanah Yoho was also present on the occasion. While the nearly five-minute song was performed on stage, federation officials, including Malaysian players, present audiences, sports minister on stage and other dignitaries danced. Takes to do.
