New Delhi: The BJP had fielded 21 MPs in four states in the assembly elections. Out of those 21 MPs, 12 have won. Ten of the 12 MLAs resigned from the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Among them are several Union ministers.
Of the 21 MPs fielded by the BJP, three were from Rajasthan, two from Madhya Pradesh and one from Chhattisgarh. Three MPs from Telangana lost the election. But all the others who have won are likely to become chief ministers. According to BJP sources, the party has asked these MPs to resign. The saffron party has also promised them big responsibilities in the state assembly.
