New Delhi: The Union Finance Ministry told Parliament on Tuesday that a proposal has been introduced. In this proposal, all banks in India have been demanded to declare a holiday on every Saturday, which means that banks have been demanded to work for five days every week. Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad said that this proposal has been presented by IBA.

Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat Karad informed that the proposal of holiday on every Saturday has been received from IBA, but he did not say whether the demand has been accepted or can be implemented anytime in the near future. If this proposal is accepted, then employees will get the benefit of working five days a week, but with this, the number of hours working can increase.
