New Delhi: The Sports Ministry has suspended the entire committee, including the newly elected president Sanjay Singh. The Sports Ministry says the wrestling federation is acting in violation of the constitution. That’s why it was suspended. However, the committee was not completely disbanded.
Sanjay Singh, a close aide of Brij Bhushan, won the election of the Wrestling Federation on Thursday. After the federation banned Brij Bhushan, he put in his close aide Sanjay Singh. After the results were declared, it was seen that 40 of the total 47 votes were in his favor. Anita Sheoran, who supported the protesting wrestlers, could not give a fight to Sanjay who is close to Brij Bhushan. Brij Bhushan, who was elected to the federation, did not hold any post, but all the powers of the wrestling federation went to Brij Bhushan.
