New Delhi: Several areas along the Punjab-Haryana border have been tense for the last few days due to the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ program. Blood was shed in clashes between police and protesters. Several people were killed on both sides. In view of this, the farmer unions have decided to postpone the ‘Delhi Chalo’ program for a few days. Even if they do not try to cross the border to Delhi, the protesters will sit in the border area.
Samyukt Kisan Morcha leader Sarban Singh Pandher held a press conference at Khanuri border on Friday night. While talking about the next program of the movement, he said that the ‘Delhi Chalo’ program has been postponed. “The programme will remain suspended till February 29. But we will not leave the border. I will sit there and wait. ’’
