The former cricketer and BJP MP from East Delhi has said that he wants to be relieved of political responsibility. He wants to focus on cricket in the coming days.
Gambhir will not contest the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024, such a possibility was heard earlier. The former cricketer joined the Kolkata Knight Riders camp as a mentor in November last year. Gambhir played in the night jersey from 2011 to 2017. The team has also won the IPL trophy twice. He will be seen in a new role in the KKR dugout next season.
