Center announces Rs 500 crore for nano urea plants in Dibrugarh district

Guwahati:Amidst the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilizers Minister, Mansukh Mandaviya, has declared that Namrup, in Dibrugarh district, will receive an investment of Rs 500 crore for the establishment of two nano urea plants.These state-of-the-art facilities, comprising a nano urea plant and a nano DAP plant, are poised to revolutionize the region by providing a significant boost to employment opportunities for the youth while ensuring the fulfillment of fertilizers for agricultural needs.

Minister Mandaviya underscored the strategic significance of these plants, highlighting their potential to bolster fertilizer exports to neighboring countries in the Northeast region, thus stimulating economic growth and regional development.In addition to the industrial advancement, the initiative includes the allocation of 5 bigha land for local residents, alongside plans for the construction of a community hall and enhanced sports facilities for children to enrich the lives of the people in the Namrup area.Emphasizing the broader impact of these initiatives, Minister Mandaviya lauded the efforts of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in spearheading initiatives to uplift the Dibrugarh region and its populace, promising a future for the area’s socio-economic landscape.
