New Delhi: Trinamool candidate from Krishnanagar Mahua Moitra is under tremendous pressure in the face of Lok Sabha elections 2024. The Lokpal has ordered a CBI probe against the expelled MP. The Lokpal has handed over the probe to the central probe agency against the TMC leader on the complaint of BJP MP Nishikant Dubey. The CBI has been asked to submit a preliminary report in the case within six months.
Nishikant had alleged that Moitra had committed corruption by posing a national security mortgage. There should be a criminal case against him. Accepting the allegations, the Lokpal ordered a CBI inquiry against the TMC leader. It is to be noted that the ED is already investigating against Mahua.
