New Delhi: Vastushastra has laid down certain rules for planting trees. It is better to plant trees like roses, dimaru etc. on the west side of the house. Trees like bananas, mangoes, banyans etc. should never be planted in the western direction. It is evil to plant trees like dimaru, mangoes etc. on the southern side of the house. Planting trees like dimaru, banana etc. on the north side of the house causes harm to the householder. Birds can be planted on the north side of the house. In the south-east side of the house, trees like Shimlu, Akand, Ashwatth, Banat etc. should never be planted.
Planting pomegranate trees on the south-east side of the house increases the householder. Planting tamarind trees in the south-west side of the house can yield very good results. Kadam trees should never be planted in the south-west direction. Planting amla tree in the north-east side of the house gives good results. Banana trees should never be planted in the north-east direction.
