New Delhi: ED summons Mahua Moitra again The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has asked the Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate from Krishnanagar to appear before it in Delhi on Thursday. Mahua’s businessman ‘friend’ Darshan Hiranandani has also been summoned. The two are likely to be questioned face to face, sources said.
Mahua Moitra was disqualified as an MP last year in a bribery case. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey was disqualified from the Ethics Committee after several rounds of questioning on his complaint. The BJP had alleged that the then TMC MP took cash and expensive gifts from businessman friend Darshan Hiranandani and gave him the password of Parliament’s website. Mahua herself admits that she has received some gifts from Hiranandani. But that’s just a little. This gift has nothing to do with any of his questions in Parliament.
