New Delhi: Scientist and environmental activist Sonam Wangchuck has ended his 21-day hunger strike. He had been on hunger strike since March 6. However, Rancho of ‘3 Idiots’ said on social media that his fight will continue even if he ends his hunger strike. Sonam was on a hunger strike for a set of demands, including full statehood for Ladakh.

He ate nothing but water and salt. “My fight for the constitutional protection of Ladakh and the political rights of its people will continue. “Thousands of people were present at the scene. However, a group of women present there said that they would start a hunger strike this time with the same demand. Apart from statehood for Ladakh, Sonam’s demand was also to protect the Himalayan ecosystem. He said that his hunger strike may continue for 21 days. But there has been no indication from the government that it will speak to him in these three weeks.
