New Delhi: ‘Bete ko padhao, beti ko bachao’ was a slogan that has been widely discussed in the country for so long. But now the court seems to want to change the slogan. ‘Bete ko padhao, beti ko bachao’, a Bombay High Court judge said, changing the Centre’s slogan in the Badlapur incident. The Bombay High Court observed that the government must further educate boys to ensure the safety of girls. The Bombay High Court has taken up its own case in connection with the sexual assault of two girls at a school in Maharashtra. During the hearing of that case, a bench of Justice Revati Mohit Dere and Justice Prithviraj Chavan said, “Education of boys is very important. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt the policy of ‘Bete ko padhao, beti ko bachao’.

The court had earlier criticized the Maharashtra police in the case. A two-judge bench has again questioned the role of the police. “Do not file the charge sheet in haste. Do not act under pressure. This case requires a thorough investigation. Before submitting the charge sheet, care should be taken not to flaw the investigation in this case,” the court told the police.
