Chennai girl commits suicide after failing NEET exam
In a tragic incident, a girl reportedly died by suicide on Wednesday in Ambatturafter,Tamil Nadu, after she failed to clear the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET).
Shw was 19-year-old was from Chennai. She was a second-year MBBS student in a medical college in the Philippines.
The teenager took the drastic step just hours after the result for the 2022 round of exams was declared on September 7.
Soon after learning about the incident, her family rushed her to KMC hospital in Chennai, but she was declared ‘brought dead’ by the doctors in the emergency section.

The body was recovered by police and was sent for post-morterm examination.
As per reports, a total of 1,32,167 students from Tamil Nadu appeared the NEET exam, with only 67,787 passing.
It may be mentioned that this is not the first case of a student committing suicide after failing to clear NEET Exam.
After the announcement of the NEET 2021 results, about 12 students in Tamil Nadu allegedly committed suicide.
