Assam Govt To Hand Over Appointment Letters To 11,202 Candidates On Friday
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will appoint 11,202 people in various government departments on Friday, carrying out his pledge to give state citizens one lakh jobs.
The state government will present appointment letters to 11202 candidates in 21 government departments at a ceremonial event to be held at Guwahati’s Khanapara Veterinary Field.
Taking to Twitter, the Chief Minister wrote, “We commit, we deliver- Major milestone in our drive to ensure one lakh jobs in Assam. Following 27,737 successful recruitments, GoA will now hand over appointment letters to 11,202 candidates in 21 govt depts on 23 September 2022 in a ceremonial function in Khanapara, Guwahati.”
The Home and Political Department will receive 5,335 of the total appointments, followed by the School Education Department with 3,811 and the Higher and Technical Education Department with 927.
The Public Works Department (PWD) will see 304 new recruitments, and health and family welfare will get 299 new appointments, followed by 277 in the panchayat and rural departments and 137 in the irrigation department.
However, 33 candidates will be appointed in Environment and Forest Department, 24 candidates in the Skill, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, 13 candidates in the Sports and Youth Welfare Department, and 11 candidates in Transformation and Development Department.
Meanwhile, additional departments where recruitment will occur include those for handloom and textiles, cooperation, information, and public relations, as well as skill, employment, and entrepreneurship.
