Assam: 4 nabbed in Bokajan for smuggling rice and black pepper

Police in Bokajan, Assam, on Monday successfully captured grains and pepper that were being smuggled.

There was an operation at Khatkhati in Bokajan, according to reports.

A truck was stopped by police, who seized from it 300 sacks of black pepper and 70 sacks of rice.

Additionally, during the raid, cash worth Rs 3.50 lakhs was also seized.

Four people, including one Babul Das, were arrested in connection with the incident, according to the police.

Moreover, during the significant operation, the police also confiscated a Scorpio vehicle.
