New Delhi:Four children died in the hospital after the ventilator was switched off. The incident took place at Ambikapur Medical College Hospital in Chhattisgarh on Sunday. It is estimated that the ventilator was switched off due to the power cut off in the hospital late at night. Due to this, 4 newborn babies died.
Against the hospital authorities in this case. The family members of the four children have complained. There was also a ruckus in front of the hospital.The district health department personnel rushed to the spot immediately. They said they would look into the situation in the mother and child department.According to doctors at the hospital, four children died within four to five hours.
However, Kundan Kumar, an official of the district health department, said the newborns did not die due to power outages. He also said that the ventilator has not stopped. An investigation will be conducted to find out what is behind the death of the child. Kundan said that if they die due to ventilators, it should also come out in the open.
