New Delhi: Former cricketer Salim Durrani passes away He was 88 years old. The former India all-rounder died at his home in Jamnagar on Sunday morning. He was suffering from old age problems for several days. Durrani was the hero of the historic Test series win against England in the 1960-61 season. Durrani’s contribution to Indian cricket is particularly important. He played domestic cricket for Saurashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Durrani was born on December 11, 1934, in Kabul. Durrani’s family later moved to Jamnagar in Gujarat. Growing up there He got up. The left-handed all-rounder played 29 Tests for India. He made his Test debut against Australia in 1960. He last played a Test against England in 1973.
He took 18 wickets in the Kolkata and Chennai Tests against England in the 1960-61 season. India won the series 2-0 thanks to his brilliant performance.
