Congress leader Shashi Tharoor slams PT Usha for making remarks against protesting wrestlers

New Delhi: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has reacted sharply to rajya sabha MP and Indian Olympic Association president P T Usha’s remarks yesterday taking a dig at the protesting wrestlers fighting for justice.

Tharoor said ignoring the justified protests of colleagues who have repeatedly accused of facing sexual harassment is indecent in Usha’s case. Congress leader and Kerala MP Shahshi Tharoor criticised veteran athlete and Indian Olympic Association president P T Usha for her remarks and said Usha’s remarks that the protesting wrestlers have “tarnished” India’s image is unfortunate.
