41 labourers stranded in Uttarkashi tunnel for 9 days, PM’s phone call to CM Dhami

New Delhi: The captivity of 41 labourers trapped in a tunnel in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi has been reduced to nine days. Their hopes of returning home are fading! However, hopefully, everyone is healthy so far. Rescue operations are being carried out in wartime operations. Along with the state government, the Centre has also joined hands. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has already visited the accident site. Now the Prime Minister himself has enquired about the situation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called Up Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and enquired about the situation in Uttarkashi. The Prime Minister enquired about the current situation of the tunnel in Uttarkashi, how the rescue operation is being carried out and how quickly the stranded workers can be rescued. Modi explained that it is important to boost the morale of the workers trapped in the tunnel. He assured that the workers would be rescued soon in coordination with the Centre and the state.
