New Delhi: Like every month, banks will remain closed for several days in April. Banking services will be closed for a total of 14 days in the month. So before going to the bank with the necessary work, know which days the bank will be closed.
According to the Reserve Bank of India, all banks are closed (Bank Holiday) across the country. And the regional holiday is fixed by the state government. So holidays vary from state to state. Here is the list of states on which banks will remain closed in April.
Banks will remain closed on April 1 due to annual account closing. But not across the country. Banks will remain open in Chandigarh, Sikkim, Mizoram, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and Bengal.
Banks will remain closed in Telangana and Jammu on April 5 on account of Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birth anniversary.
Banks in several states will remain closed on April 9 on account of Gudi Parwa, Ugadi Utsav, Telugu New Year, Sajibu Nongmapanba, Prothom Navratri. The states on the list are Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Manipur, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir.
Banks will remain closed on April 10 in Tripura, Manipur, Jammu and Srinagar on account of Cheiraoba, Baisakhi and Biju festivals.
Banks will remain closed on April 13 as the second Saturday.
Banks in Assam and Himachal Pradesh will remain closed on April 15 on account of Bohag Bihu and Himachal Diwas.
Banks will remain closed on April 16 in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Chandigarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh on account of Ram Navami.
Banks in Tripura will remain closed on April 20 on account of Garia Puja.
Banks will remain closed on April 27 as the fourth Saturday.
Banks will remain closed on five Sundays (April 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31) this month. However, even if banks are closed on these days, online services will continue as usual.
