There is not a single Muslim candidate! BJP sees ‘minority revolt’ in Maharashtra Congress

New Delhi: : 48 seats in the state. The Congress alone is contesting 17 seats. There is no Muslim candidate. Maharashtra Congress leader Mohammad Arif Khan alias Naseem has started a rebellion within the party. Naseem is the dominant minority face in Maharashtra. He was also a minister of state. He was also made a member of the party’s campaign committee for the Lok Sabha 2024. Naseem has resigned from the campaign committee.


“The Congress wants Muslim votes but does not want to field Muslim candidates. In a letter to party president Mallikarjun Kharge, he claimed, “48 seats in Maharashtra. However, Maha Vikas Aghadi did not field a single Muslim candidate in these 48 seats. I thought there would be at least one Muslim candidate out of at least 48. It was also not kept. “If the Congress wants Muslim votes, why doesn’t it want Muslim candidates?” he asked.
