London: Melanoma is the deadliest form of skin cancer. An important trial of the world’s first mRNA vaccine against it began on April 27. Steve Young, 52, who developed melanoma in the scalp last August, is the first person to take the vaccine.
It is expected that taking this vaccine will not bring skin cancer back later. Jeb, mRNA-4157 (V940), a skin cancer vaccine, has been developed using the same technology as the Covid vaccine. Doctors at University College London Hospitals (UCLH) have played a major role in the development of this vaccine.
