The latest comes only weeks after Nitish Kumar left the BJP in favour of forming a coalition with Tejashwi Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal, the Congress, and other parties, removing the BJP from the co-seat pilot’s in Bihar.

The BJP has targeted Nitish Kumar’s legislators in the northeast for the second time. In Arunachal Pradesh, six of seven JDU legislators joined the BJP in 2020, while the lone MLA joined the BJP this week.

The JDU had won six of the 38 constituencies it had contested in the March assembly elections results of which were declared on March 10.
