Two minors have been rescued in the Hojai area of Assam today.
According to sources, a woman was taking them to Delhi under the pretense of providing them with jobs.
In Lumding Railway Station, the Government Railway Police rescued the two juveniles on the Silchar-Guwahati Express and alerted the authorities.
The accused and the girls are both from Dima Hasao District’s Maibang area.
The accused was allegedly planning to sell them off in other states while pretending to offer them jobs, according to the police.
The parents of the children were summoned to the police station for further investigation while an investigation was underway.
