New Delhi:Two BSF jawans working along the Punjab border were captured by the Pakistan Army. However, the first captured soldier was sent back by Pakistan after a meeting between the military officials of the two countries.A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was arrested by the Pakistan Army after he crossed the border into Pakistan. On Wednesday, he was detained by the Pakistan Army while crossing the border by mistake near the Punjab sector.

On Thursday, Indian Army officials confirmed that efforts are being made to bring back the BSF jawan soon.An Army official said the jawan mistakenly crossed the border into Pakistan on Wednesday morning due to low intensity due to dense fog. After this, he was captured by the Pakistani army. Talks are on between the army officials of the two countries to bring back the already detained soldiers, the official said.However, within a week, two soldiers were captured by the Pakistan Army from the Punjab border.

On December 1 last week, an Indian soldier mistakenly crossed the border into Pakistan while keeping a watch along the Indo-Pak border in Punjab’s Abohar sector. However, after a meeting between the military officials of the two countries on the same day, Pakistan sent back the captured BSF jawan to India.
